Indigenous consultation for the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Forest Management Plan has progressed to the VOIT stage (Values-Objectives-Indicators-Targets). VOITs are performance indicators designed to manage for values by setting targets in the forest management plan and reporting on progress in achieving those targets. VOITs provide harvest planning direction to meet targets for water, wildlife, vegetation, and more.
